So, what exactly does this mean?

Let’s start with the basics – SOC 2 stands for Service Organization Control 2. It’s a security framework that determines how companies manage, process and store their customer data based on the Trust Services Categories (TSC). There are two types of SOC – Type I and Type II which are done sequentially one after the other. Type I is given based on a snapshot of a company’s process, whereas Type II is given after a company demonstrates months of compliance and maintaining security processes. This security compliance is earned by companies that have met the highest level of software compliance and information security standards established by the AICPA.

In order for Rose Rocket to become SOC 2 Type II compliant, we had to pass a company-wide audit that rigorously assessed our technical security controls over multiple months, spanning across data protection, access management, as well as risk and vulnerability detection.

Additionally, our human resources practices and staffing strategies were evaluated, which focused on the engagement of expertise and demonstrated the presence of a dedicated workforce that our customers can trust.

We’re proud to be one of the few TMS providers with full SOC 2 Type I and Type II designation, meaning our customers can rely on Rose Rocket to ensure the utmost protection of their data. The designation validated our resilience and preparedness to deal with unforeseen situations – this included comprehensive emergency response and disaster recovery procedures, enabling us to provide uninterrupted service for our customers.
